%X The growing demand for individualized vehicles and alternative power units are challenging the automotive industry. In order to cope with these challenges and realizing the simultaneous production of different variations and models within the same factory, innovative production systems like the Matrix-structured Manufacturing System or Fluid Manufacturing System have received increasing attention. However, the realization of alternative production systems imply the development and the use of cyber-physical systems (CPS). Hence, by networking production modules, autonomous guided vehicles, smart load carriers and utilizing process relevant information, the aim of a flexible and versatile production can be achieved. This paper describes the development process of Smart Logistics Modules as CPS for Smart Load carriers.
